Venice Arts Free Youth Media Workshops - Fall 2017
Since 1993, Venice Arts has reached thousands of youth through our award-winning Art Mentoring Program Free to low-income families, more than 400 youth participate each year at our center in Venice or at an ArtPartner site in other areas of Los Angeles. A low student-to-artist ratio assures educational excellence and visual, digital, and media literacy: all key to future success.
Our programs include photography, filmmaking, and multimedia plus comics, animation, and writing that reach youth ages 6 to 18, while Art Discovery offers children ages 6 to 9 a hands-on, multi-disciplinary visual art curriculum. An Advanced Studies Track provides 1:1 mentoring, internships, portfolio development, help with college applications, and more. Advanced students are also given opportunities to work on special projects with other organizations and groups or to assist Venice Arts’ on client print, video, or special projects.
Our Fall session workshops begin on September 15, 2017 and go on through December 16, 2017. For a complete list and schedule of classes, click here. For enrollment and general inquiries, please send an email to info@venice-arts.org or call (310) 392-0846.

Venice Arts’ programs are FREE for low-income families. To see if your family qualifies, you MUST bring income documentation to your appointment: most recent pay stubs from all income providers in household, or dated proof of public benefits (Medi-Cal, EBT, discounts on utility bills, etc.).
Space allowing, Venice Arts also serves families able to pay for programs. Weekly workshops are $475 per session; advanced workshops are $950. We do our best to accommodate all children; however, low-income families receive priority.
