Dear Friends:

This is to notify you that the LA County Department of Public Works will begin safety improvements on the Marvin Braude Bike Path on Monday, September 10, 2018.  During this time, the bike path will be closed to allow for ground markings, pavement improvements and signage to be installed.  The project is expected to last through October 20, 2018 and working hours will be from 7am-3:30pmMonday-Saturday.

The County Department of Public Works has worked closely with the City of LA on a detour route so that those using the path from the North or South end will still allow access through Venice.  We do understand that this does not address ALL safety concerns on the path and we will continue to explore options for additional safety enhancements as funding is identified. Below is the public notice and detour route with phone numbers listed if there are issues.  Please also feel free to call or email me with questions or concerns.

Best,
Stephanie
