Dear Neighbors,

As your Member of Congress, I have the privilege of serving as your voice in our nation’s capital. One of the most important parts of my job is to help constituents navigate issues they have with federal agencies.

If you need assistance, my office is here to help. My staff will work with you to address your concerns around a variety of issues, including:

  • Mail and postal problems
  • Veteran service-connected claims
  • Immigration and naturalization
  • IRS concerns
  • Passport and visa issues
  • Social Security and Medicare

With regards,

U.S. Representative Ted W. Lieu

See how Congressman Ted Lieu is helping on the issues that impact our communities:

An Air Force veteran contacted our office seeking help in processing a service-connected claim for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). My office assisted the veteran in securing a favorable decision from the VA, which awarded the veteran over $150,000 retroactively.

A constituent came to our office requesting assistance with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in expediting a petition to bring his wife to the United States because he was worried about her safety. With the help of our staff, his wife’s case was approved, and she has been able to rejoin her family in the United States. The constituent said, “Thank you, thank you, thank you! You saved our family.”

A constituent came to our office requesting assistance in obtaining confirmation regarding her previous tax return status with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), since she was subject to identity theft. With the assistance of our office, we were able to secure a tax refund for her from the IRS in the amount of $2,120 this summer.

A constituent requested assistance in getting a replacement Silver Star medal for his late father-in-law, a Colonel who fought heroically in the Vietnam War. The medal had been confiscated when he became a POW. Our staff worked with the Department of Defense, which sent a replacement medal and a commendation from the Army. The constituent wrote,“Dad was a great man, and the world is a better and certainly more beautiful place because he lived and loved. I’m extending our total and endless gratitude to Congressman Lieu and yourself for your diligence in this matter of honor to our family.”
