From the office of Los Angeles County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl:

Dear Neighbor,

My office is exploring whether it may be possible for LA County to purchase and redevelop the vacant West LA Courthouse at Purdue and Santa Monica Boulevard. The development may include housing and new appropriate commercial businesses.  I want to make certain that you and your neighbors have opportunities to review and, hopefully, support any new development and I will insist on a robust community process so that residents have an opportunity to be informed and provide input.

We are in the very earliest stages of this process and it will be quite some time before anything moves forward. If you’re interested in following these discussions as they develop, please sign-up for our West LA Courthouse Stakeholder email list here: https://supervisorkuehl.com/courthouse/
As we continue to explore the feasibility of a County role in the redevelopment of this site, I will definitely keep you apprised.

Sincerely,
