Venice Arts Selects VAC President Sunny Bak as a ''Community Angel''
October 04, 2019
Congratulations to Sunny Bak, VAC President and VCC Vice-President, for being named a Community Angel by Venice Arts!
About the Community Angel Award, Venice Arts says, "Each year we look to find a 'Community Angel' who we truly believe deserves to be honored for their contributions not only to Venice Arts but, also, to our broader community. When talking about who we might honor this year, Sunny came immediately to mind: she is a fantastic photographer with a rich, creative history; she has been supporting our work with low-income young people for many years; and she is an extraordinary advocate for the arts, committed not only to assuring that artists in Venice continue to find ways to live, work, and thrive here but, also, to finding ways to connect the broader community to those artists and their creative works, such as through the Venice Art Crawl."

Sunny will be honored at the Venice Arts 26th Anniversary Gala on November 2nd. Event page. Come out and support a home-grown organization that has been transforming the lives of low-income kids for 26 years. Celebrate our honorees, enjoy delicious food and drink donated by some of our favorite restaurants and vendors, and bid on fabulous photography—both by professional artists and our talented young people—INCLUDING a fabulous piece by Sunny featuring the Beastie Boys, who she photographed for many years.
Chamber members are invited to purchase tickets to the Gala for a discounted rate! View hot deal.
Can't attend? Stop by Venice Arts any time — the work is already up — to see if there's anything you'd like to bid on (don't need to be present at the Gala to have a winning bid). Buy raffle tickets, with items including a fabulous LINUS bike. Or make a contribution—at whatever level is meaningful for you.
