Have you heard about the changes coming to LA County's elections? You can learn all about the Voting Solutions for All People (VSAP) project by "casting your ballot" at a fun mock election later this month.

Instead of limiting you to one day of in-person voting at one precinct, VSAP will allow you to vote at any time within an 11-day window.  Votes can be cast at any of the County's Voting Centers, which will include some traditional polling places. The centers will also have increased access for people with disabilities as well as be more accessible to voters with limited English proficiency.

To help us prepare for next year, the Registrar-Recorder is conducting a Mock Election on September 28th and 29th.  Keeping it light, participants can vote for items like their favorite sports team, park, or music venue.  Select polling locations will have live DJs, surprise celebrities, food trucks, and chances to win LA experiences.

And all ages can vote in this one -- an excellent opportunity to teach future voters about civic duty while having fun!
